46 Haiku
- Haiku is a style of poetry with themes that include nature, feelings, or experiences. It has three short lines. The first line usually contains five (5) syllables, the second line seven (7) syllables, and the third line contains five (5) syllables. Haiku doesn't rhyme. A Haiku must "paint" a mental image in the reader's mind.
- Write a poem that is silly. Use pun, hyperbole, etc to create a piece that makes us laugh. Check out Shel Silverstein as a good example. At least 10 lines.
